Tonto Creek in the AZ

I had a day off a few months ago and the kids and I wanted to do something different...you know, get away, so we headed up north. We were gonna stay the night in some cabin near Christopher Creek but Jimmy had to work and I was too nervous to stay by myself, so we ended up at the fish hatchery at Christopher Creek for our first stop of the day. The kids loved all the little fish. Jameer was trying to get food out of the little machines to feed the fish but I had NO CHANGE AT ALL! How sad for them, but they got over it quick! After about 20 minutes (which seemed waaay longer) of the hatchery, we walked down to check out the water in the creek. It was a little cold but Jayla jumped right in! Jameer followed and when Jayla decided to give the water a little taste, so followed Jameer. needless to say, both children had the worste case of #2's ever at the end of the day! On the way home we stopped at the BIG GREEN BARN and checked out the little campsite and climbed a mountain. We ended up with some scraped up knees and hands but had lotsa fun! All in all, it was a very entertaining day!

Fun! I totally thought of you when we drove by the BIG GREEN BARN on the way to my grandpa's funeral last month. And Christopher Creek is no longer off the highway! I guess it's been awhile since I've been up that way, but it looks completely different!
